James (Jim) Jiracek, 85, of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Jul 27, ’26, surrounded by Family.
Born on Aug 14, 1940, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Jim was the son of Edward and Christine Jiracek. He graduated from UW La Crosse in 1962 and went on to have a successful career in Medical Sales.
On Apr 29, 1961, he married Avril Barron, and together they were married 65 years.
Jim enjoyed reading, especially history e.g., World War II, and solving crossword puzzles. He will be remembered for his Community Service, serving on the Police Commission for 21 years, 13 as President. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for 28 years serving multiple roles including Exalted Ruler and District Deputy. Friends and family would describe Jim as intelligent & witty.
He is survived by:

- Dan Jiracek (son) & Kim Jiracek (former spouse), Jeff Jiracek (son) & Angela Jiracek (spouse)
- Blake Jiracek (grandchild), JoeyLauren Weisshauer (grandchild) & Mike Weisshauer (spouse), Kristina Jiracek (grandchild) & Garrett Simenc (fiancé), and Kyle Jiracek (grandchild)
He was preceded in death by Edward & Christine Jiracek (parents), Barbara Pearse (sister) & Roy Pearse (spouse), and Margaret Louise (Peggy) Jiracek (daughter).
A Memorial and Lodge of Sorrow will be held at the Milwaukee Elks Lodge, 5555 Good Hope Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
