James “Jimmy” J. Carnako passed away on September 16, 2024, age 89.
Loving husband of Connie for 39 years. Further survived by brother, Robert (Darlene) Carnako; and sister-in-law, Linda Wagner. Loving uncle of Alex (Maria) of Spain as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Beloved Mr. Jim to Eric and Blake. Very special friends of Katie and Jim, Brian and Elaine and Matt and Amy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, six siblings and his brother-in-law, Ed Wagner.
Jimmy was proud to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of Legion Post 449 in Brookfield. Jimmy spent most of his career at Harley Davidson. A union steward, he was also actively involved in the formation of their credit union and a member of their bowling league.
Jimmy was active in volunteering at the Salvation Army every holiday season as a red kettle counter.
He loved to visit his “Door County Retreat” with Connie and spent many mornings wetting his line at the dock in Egg Harbor or chasing the golf ball on many local courses.
Jimmy will be laid to rest at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, W240N3065 Pewaukee Road in Pewaukee with Military Honors on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
