Loving mother of Susan (Scott) Belongia, James Grabowski and Jeffrey Grabowski. Dear Grandma of Gina (Jason) Morimoto, Jeffrey Grabowski, Leah (Nic) Meyer, Morgan Belongia, Kayla Belongia, Taylor Belongia, Jake Belongia, and Lukas Janke. Great Grandma of Richard Abramowksi, Ari Wagner, Holden Meyer, Hunter Meyer and Vincenzo Wysocki. Also loved by other relatives and friends.
Itsumi’s home was a sanctuary of warmth, where she shared stories of wisdom, laughter and her amazing food. She instilled in her family the values of perseverance, gratitude, and compassion.
A dedicated member of SGI Community since 1957, Itsumi contributed tirelessly to kosen-rufu, the spread of Nichiren Buddhism for world peace. Itsumi was also known for her love of cooking and gardening. Her selflessness and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she met, and her life exemplified the Buddhist principle of creating value in every moment.
