In Loving Memory of Ian Ryan
September 5, 2003 – April 22, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ian Ryan, a beloved son, cherished brother, and unforgettable soul, who left us far too soon on April 22, 2025, at the age of 21.
Ian was deeply loved by his family, especially his parents (Erin & Sean Ryan), and his brother (Colin Ryan) who loved him unconditionally. He was the beloved nephew of (Jeremy & Abby Ryan), (Dawn Langhammer, Rick & Theresa Langhammer), (Kristin & Jerry Doleshal), and cousin to Dakota, Logan, Abby, Joseph, JJ, Danielle, Juniper, and Torin. He was embraced by a large and loving extended family and a wide community of friends who will miss his kind heart and vibrant energy every single day.
Ian now reunites with his beloved Nana, (Ellen Langhammer), and Papa, (Gary Ryan), and is finally meeting Grandma Katie Ryan and Grandpa Langhammer for the first time, held now in their loving arms.
Born on September 5, 2003, Ian brought a light into the world that never dimmed. From a young age, he had a gentle heart, always quick to offer kindness and brighten the lives of those around him with his infectious smile and uplifting spirit. His presence could turn even the darkest moments into something hopeful.
Ian was not only compassionate, but he was also bold. An adventurer at heart, he sought life’s greatest heights and thrills. Whether skydiving through the clouds with his mom, paragliding above the Alps, ziplining through canopies, hiking the toughest trails (Half Dome & Angels Landing), or rappelling down waterfalls, Ian lived life with courage and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world. His adventurous spirit was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
A celebration of Ian’s life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Smoke on the Water. The address is N50W35016 Wisconsin Avenue, Okauchee, WI, 53069 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. All who know and love Ian are welcome to join us as we remember and honor his beautiful life.
Though his time with us was brief, Ian’s impact will echo in the hearts of those he touched forever. We will carry his memory with us always and honor him by living with the same kindness, courage, and curiosity he showed every day.
“Rest peacefully, Ian. You will always be our bright light.
We love you to the moon and back.”
