Helen E. Mente (nee Engelbart)

Born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at age 94. Loving wife and best friend of William J. Mente. Devoted and adoring mom of Karl Mente (the late Carol Hasenyager) and Jill (David) Finger. Proud and loving grandma of Anthony, Joseph and Randal Finger (Eva Schaible) and eagerly awaiting the birth of her first great grandchild in June. Further survived by other dear family and friends.

After an early career working in the lab at Froedtert Malt Co., Helen settled into her true calling as mom and homemaker. She was a loving presence in so many lives and will be greatly missed. Helen was a huge sports fan and never missed a Brewer’s telecast. She also loved bowling, golf, bingo and crossword puzzles.

Helen was very passionate about her Catholic faith going back to her days at St Michael grade school. She was devoted to praying the rosary daily and also praying for all those in need. She was a dedicated member of St Catherine of Alexandria Parish for over 60 years.

Gathering at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 8661 North 76th Place, Milwaukee, WI 53223 on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
