Gerald “Jerry” Reich
April 1, 1970 – June 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Gerald “Jerry” Reich, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon. Jerry passed away on his beloved property in Rhinelander, Wisconsin – his happy place. He died doing what he loved doing; in the place he loved most. Jerry lived in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Known for his rugged exterior and deeply tender heart, Jerry was a man of few words but immense loyalty. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who found peace in nature and the outdoors. He loved his Harley Davidson bikes and loved riding whenever he could.
Jerry was the IT and Salon Manager at VICI Capilli Salon, where he was much more than a coworker – he was a father figure, a steady hand, and a source of strength to the entire team. His quiet humor, devotion, and dependable nature earned him deep love and respect from everyone he worked with. He had a strong sense of loyalty to the people he cared about. He will be greatly missed.
Jerry is survived by his loving mother, Penny Rushing (Fred Thomas). Jerry is also survived by his daughter Samantha Walker (Jordan Walker), his longtime partner, Julie and his beloved Newfie, Frank. He is also survived by his father Gary Reich and stepmother Carol Ann Reich, his stepbrother Greg, stepsister Renee and his stepfather Marvin (Rusty), his best friend Paul, and his VICI family.
Jerry’s sudden departure leaves an aching space in the hearts of all those who loved him. His unwavering loyalty, dry wit, and quiet strength will never be forgotten.
Please join us as we celebrate the life of Jerry Rushing, a man with a tough exterior, a soft heart, and a spirit that left a mark on all who knew him. Jerry would want us to laugh, eat, drink, and remember the good times — and that’s exactly what we plan to do. Please come as you are, bring your favorite memories, and help us send him off with love, laughter, and a toast (or two).
