Todd Ackermann (Ack) left a message on April 25, 2025:
I am so thankful for how coach poured into me and helped shape me into the man I am today. Coach often pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me about hard work, helped us stay focused on sacrificing for the team, and always believed in me. I will always carry and treasure our time together. There are so many memories ... the grueling 2 a days, the record updowns and hills, the wins & losses, and the many laughs. I remember stopping by the house and having some big laughs with coach and Chuck Gilbert. Coach always seemed to have time for me , though I know he had a lot of responsibilities. Coach was so helpful and encouraging as I was deciding where to go to college and play football. I could go on and on. You are an amazing man and I thank God I had the opportunity to learn under you. I will carry you and the many memories with me forever. The family is in my thoughts and prayers and our heart is with you! Much Love, Todd Ackermann (Ack ... your favorite tight end:))
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

David Lucre left a message on April 19, 2025:
I have had the privilege of coaching with George at Brown Deer High School. Being fresh out of college, Coach Blanchard welcomed me to be a part of his football staff. I got to work with him on coaching linebackers and running backs in which I learned a lot. The most important lessons I learned from his coaching was creating a rapport with the players. It is no surprise why his players loved to play for him. They knew how much he cared for them not only in making them better as a football player but as a person as well. Everyone who came across Coach Blanchard, adult or student, loved him. He would always put a smile on your face. He also was a great athletic director. When I was the softball coach, he was a great support system for me as well as the program. He wanted both the boys and girls teams to be successful. Whenever I invited him to come in and provide a motivational speech to the team he did with a great deal of passion. It was an honor to be on the sidelines with Coach Blanchard and learn from one of the best coaches ever. I also appreciated Coach Blanchard coming back during his years of retirement to continue to support the coaches and players at Brown Deer High School. Thank you Coach Blanchard for being a blessing to all of us.

To the family of coach Blanchard my deepest sympathy to all of you. He was a great coach and a true friend. In a big way he was responsible for myself getting a scholarship to play football for the University of Wisconsin in 1975. Thank you very much for being the man and friend that you were to a lot of people. RIP coach you will never be forgotten.
