Faye C. Steckl

Faye C. Steckl (nee Christensen) passed away on December 14, 2025, at age 79, and is reunited with her husband and soulmate of 46 years, Peter.

She is survived by her children: Michele Schmidt, Jeremy “Jerry” Steckl (Shelly), and Tracy Masalewicz.

Her grandchildren are Roderick Schmidt, Rayden Schmidt, and Dakota Masalewicz (Tyler), and she was a great-grandmother to Talia.

She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Floryance.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra McKee, and grandson, Gunner Lee Masalewicz.

Faye was known for her love of thrift shopping, her friendly nature, and her ability to make friends everywhere. She was a stranger to none. She welcomed all with quirky conversations and a passion for listening to others’ stories. Her garden was her pride, always tended to by herself.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2025 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, in Brookfield, Wisconsin from 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Service to follow at 7:00 PM.

Faye will be privately laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park.
