Elke A. Nottelmann
MILWAUKEE-Passed peacefully on December 31, 2025. Born in Kuestrin, Germany on June 3, 1938, she immigrated with her immediate family to the United States in 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Dorothea Nottelmann and siblings Herta, Dolly, Editha and John Nottelmann. Other survivors are cousins in Wisconsin and Germany, former neighbors and friends.
Elke earned a 2-year Degree in Commercial Art, then at age 33, she returned to college and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1975 from UW-Milwaukee followed by additional studies in horticulture. She was a talented and prolific artist, particularly skilled in portrait painting. In later years she traveled the world extensively with her sister Editha.
A note of appreciation for the kindness and attention shown to Elke in her final days by the staff at St. Camillus.
Elke will be remembered in the daily Mass said in the St. Camillus Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 10201 West Wisconsin Avenue (north residence entrance), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
