Elizabeth T. Piering “Beth”

Age 84; fell asleep peacefully in the Hands of the Lord on March 8, 2016. Elizabeth was born on July 31, 1931, to David and Agnes Pawlak in Antigo, WI, where she resided until she entered the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph, TOSF in Stevens Point in 1945. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, she served as a teacher in various schools and later, as Principal at St. Peter's School in Stevens Point, and at SS. Peter & Paul School in Independence, WI. In 1973, Elizabeth returned to secular living. In 1974 she married Leonard Woods who preceded her in death in 1995. She married Allan Piering in 2001.

Surviving Beth is her husband Allan. Sister, Joan Pavlichek. Step-children Brent Woods, Noreen (Gary) Killian, Michael (Rhonda) Piering and Patti (Jerry) Knepper. 5 step-grandchildren, Chad and Christopher (Rachel) Knepper, Katie (Alex) Harris, Megan (David) Gutbrod and Michael Piering and 8 step great-grandchildren. Beth is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harold, Robert and Andrew, brother-in-law Earl Pavlichek and sister-in-law Bonnie Pawlak, nephew Father Jeffrey Pawlak and a step-grandson Michael Woods.

Visitation Monday, March 14, 2016 at St. Dominic's Church, 18255 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI from 11:30AM until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Dominic's Church or Vitas Hospice.
