Elizabeth Rosina Reitmann

Elizabeth Rosina Reitmann (nee Gries) Passed away peacefully and is reunited with her cherished husband, John Reitmann, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 99. Adored Mother of Raymond (Irene) Reitmann and Eleanore “Elly” (Dean) Alioto. Precious Oma of Michael, Kyle (Jessica) and Kerry (Mike). Great Grandmother of Dalton and Moriah. Further survived by Great Great Grandchildren, other relatives and dear friends.

Mom was devoted completely to her family. She was born and raised in Apatin, Yugoslavia. She knew Dad from the same town and for her, it was love at first sight. As young adults they married in Graz, Austria in 1947. In 1955, they immigrated to America with Ray, who was 6 at the time. Her parents came to join them the following year. They all lived together in a loving and happy home. In 1957, they welcomed a daughter, Elly. Always working as a team, both mom and dad worked hard together to build a beautiful life. Family and friends made their life complete. We were so proud of the knowledge and skills they learned from their upbringing.

In 1991, their grandson, Michael was born, they babysat 4-5 days a week so we could work and knew he was in the best care. Mom was always gracious and kind.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53222, on Monday, June 8, 2026, 11:30 AM-1:00 PM. Funeral Service at 1:15 PM. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery-Milwaukee.

A beautiful soul has taken her place in Heaven, next to her forever loved John. We know you will be dancing together again. You will always be my little Rosita.
