(nee Burton) born August 24, 1934 went home to the Lord on Friday, March 26, 2021 at age 86. Reunited with her parents, Edward & Lillie Burton. Reunited with her husband, John People. She accepted Christ at an early age. She had her formal education in Arkansas & Wisconsin. She worked various jobs of service. She loved spending time with family, evangelizing, gardening, fishing, watching Christian sermons & movies. Beloved mother of Marsha (the late Robert) Burnside. Loving grandmother of Michael, Emory, Brandon Sr. and the late Anthony. Cherished great-grandmother of Tonique, Kia, Michael, Mikaehla, Emory IV, Zamaria, Kennedi, Brandon Jr., Jalilah and great-great grandmother to Malia. She will be missed also by Donna as well as her church family, many other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will take place at Eastbrook Church, 5353 North Green Bay Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53209 on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 12:00 PM. A service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at 2:30 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53222.
