Eleanor R. McKeown (nee Meyer)

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023, age 94. Loving wife of the late Col. Thomas L. “Tom” McKeown. Cherished mother of Susan (Jim) Bartlein and the late Deborah Roettgers. Fond mother-in-law of David (Lisa) Roettgers. Proud grandmother of the late Amy Kunkel, Heather (Jon ) Jurgenson, Jeffrey (Dr. Sarah) Bauer, Molly (Michael) Dorau, Jennifer Roettgers (Tim Chapp), Laura (Ben) Weiland and Michael Roettgers. Great-grandmother of Ava, Isla and Grant Jurgenson, Knox Griebling, Mia, McKenzie and Madelyn Chapp. Step-grandmother of Jeff Bartlein and the late JB. Aunt and godmother of Dana (Kevin) Gilboy and many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brother, Don (Marion) Meyer and sisters-in-law, June Heidenreich and Shirley Wustrack. Special friend to the Behling family. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Unity Lutheran Church – Christ the King Campus, 4600 Pilgrim Road, on Friday, November 3, from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Service to follow at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
