Eleanor H. Stocke was called peacefully home to the Lord on January 12, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family, after a long, happy, well lived life at the age of 103.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years Harold E. Stocke. Also preceded in death by her cherished twin sister Rose Marie Williams, her Mother and Father Mary and Matthew Hudy as well as brothers Joseph, Frank, John and Harry and sister Tilly Zobrack.
She is survived by her children Sandra (Frank) Schmidt, Gregory (Carol) Stocke and Cindy (Barry) Radandt, her 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren and 3 Grand-dogs. As well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Eleanor and Harold made their home in New Berlin along with Eleanor’s twin sister Rose Marie and brother in law Roger whom lived right next door. She was a member of Holy Apostles Church and she enjoyed working at Holy Apostles School hot lunch program. In 2006 Eleanor moved from her New Berlin home to Eagle Wisconsin to live with her daughter Cindy and Son in law Barry until the day of her passing.
When living in New Berlin, Eleanor would host a fabulous Christmas Eve celebration for her family where she shared Polish and Czechoslovakian traditions, as well as homemade food and pastries. Eleanor enjoyed many years vacationing in Eagle River going fishing and enjoying the company of family and friends. She also loved spending time in Florida going to the ocean and to Disney World. She loved to crochet, making many afghans and hot pads for family. She loved to go to many different Casinos by bus and car to play the slots. She also enjoyed spending time on the patio in summer sipping a Vodka Cranberry smelling the flowers, watching the birds and throwing a ball to her grand-dogs. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewer fan. In cooler weather she loved to watch old Cowboy movies and Family Feud with a bowl of her favorite snacks.
Eleanor will be remembered as being a very positive person that loved life. She was dedicated to her faith, said the Rosary and prayed for her family daily. She was a dedicated, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be missed and always loved.
She always said…” If I had the chance to live my life over again…I wouldn’t change a thing”
The family would like to thank ProHeath Home Hospice Team for the wonderful care of our Mother and family support.
Visitation on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Wildlife in Need in Dousman or HAWS in Waukesha would be appreciated.
