Dorothy P. McGuire (1927-2025)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Pauline McGuire, 97, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 18, 2025.

Born in Syracuse, NY, to Joseph and Bernadine West, she was the oldest of seven children. It was there that she met her husband, Paul (1926–1994), and together they moved to Milwaukee, where they raised three children.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was as kind and caring a soul as they come. She had a witty sense of humor, a quiet demeanor, and rarely missed a hair appointment.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. McGuire; her daughter, Patricia (Prochnow); and her son, Mike.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
