To the Barnes, Blues and all the bereaved families. Sister Barnes was a jewel. She loved God, family, church family and others. Sister Barnes graced her church family with sweetness, kindness and love. She exemplified all the gifts of the Spirit of God to everyone. Sister Barnes had style and poise with a sweet calm voice. She was a Godly woman. She will truly be missed but not forgotten. To her beautiful daughters that stood by their mother side taking care of her during her illness may God bless you. Sister Barnes rest in peace from your labor, until we meet again. God bless love always, brother and sister Jagers

Patricia Latiker left a message on March 22, 2020:
Sis. Barnes was one of the strongest women that I knew. She had a large family but I never saw her upset or mean to anyone. She was a calm spiritual woman. She taught her children about God and believed in the Seventh Day Adventist message. Many of her grandchildren attended the Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Academy. I was blessed to be the teacher of Eric, Sheryl, Jeff, Kamie and Keshown. All of them had her sweet calm demeanor. When she came to church, she looked liked an elegant queen. Her daughters made sure that she aged with grace. I remember when I first came into the Adventist Church and seeing Sis. Barnes with her two sisters, Sis. Little and Sis. Johnson. All of them were beautiful and spiritual women. Sis. Barnes will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on in her children, grandchildren down to the third and fourth generations. This is not the end for the righteous. We will see our loved ones when Christ returns. Stay strong in the Lord and the power of his might. My family lifts you all up in prayer during these difficult times. May God bless and keep you. We love you all. Pat and Joe Latiker and family
