Donald E. Volm

A loving and generous soul. Born to eternal life on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at age 72. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Virginia (nee Becker) Volm. Loving and dedicated husband of Mary (nee Mueller) for 50 years. Beloved brother of Diane (Lupe) Morales, Donna (Rick) Nealey, Gloria (Kevin) Olson. Preceded in death by brothers John Volm, Jerry Volm, sisters Barbara Volm, and Joanne Kamish. Also loved by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, long-time friends Peter Zak and Frank Crivello, AT&T colleagues, neighbors; all of whom will miss him dearly.

Don attended St. Rita grade school, Riverside High school and achieved an industrious career at AT&T with dedicated service for 42 years. Never afraid to take on a challenge, Don lovingly restored a historic 1929 home in Wauwatosa. Don enjoyed three wonderful dogs: Rocky, Suki, and “Mr. Personality” Sparkey. Don also enjoyed adventure, biking, kayaking, and traveling to Europe, Hawaii, and National Parks. Don spent time listening to 70’s – 80’s classic rock, watching Packers, Badgers, and Bucks. Don enjoyed visiting and attending many celebrations with family and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM. Service at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Hill for restorations of outdoor stations of the cross, 1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus, Wisconsin 53033 would be appreciated.
