Dianne Duszynski (Boll) was called to her forever home on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the age of 89 at Angels Grace Hospice. She fought a long battle with dementia and will now receive a new body in Heaven.
She was a dedicated wife for 65 years to the “love of her life” – James “Jim” Duszynski. A loving mother to Cynthia (Terence) Waldbillig, Jill (Paul) Kanitz, Dina (Thomas) Ackermann, Paul Duszynski, Andrew (Michelle) Duszynski, and Christopher Duszynski. She had so much love and devotion as a grandmother to Abbey (Alexander) Prast, Benjamin (Carrie) Waldbillig, Ashley Duszynski, Kailey DeBevec, Brianna Duszynski, Alexander, Aiden and Shealyn Duszynski, Anna Lee and Mia Ackermann, and Nicholas Kanitz. She was also a caring great-grandmother to Ashard Blackmon, Kingston Drapeau, Killian DeBevec, and Asher Waldbillig.
Born on February 19, 1935, in Virginia, Minnesota, she was raised by her aunt Mabel Marwick and Clayton Boll at an early age. She was a cheerleader at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, where she graduated and started classes at UW-Milwaukee where she met Jim. The two of them were married February 2, 1957. They spent the rest of their life together until the passing of Jim on May 2, 2022.
While she spent the majority of her life raising six children, she had a love for teenagers to know Christ and formed a youth band at Peace Lutheran Church in New Berlin, WI. For many years, Jim and Dianne would host people from all over the world and enjoyed entertaining them and taking them sightseeing in the Midwest. In the younger years of their marriage they would go down to the Port of Milwaukee and bring home sailors for a Thanksgiving meal! She loved going to theater productions, and was a volunteer usher at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee.
Dianne was a fierce Green Bay Packer fan, avid crossword puzzler, and poker champ who loved to teach her grandchildren how to play with pennies. Above all was her devotion to God as exhibited through her longtime commitment to Elmbrook Church and her love for hymns.
Both Jim and Dianne traveled the world, from Germany to Japan, and many states in America! Their travels or “cultural experiences” as she would say, remained one of their fondest memories throughout life.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the many caregivers, especially Val, Sandi, Mary, Kathy, and Melissa for their outstanding care they gave Dianne in her final years of her life. She truly treasured each one of you!! A special thank you to all the volunteers, nurses, and doctor at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Thank you for giving Dianne the personal care, dignity, and love she needed as she waited for our Lord to prepare her mansion for her.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Visitation will be from 3:30 – 4:30 PM with a service immediately to follow at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin.
