Dawn Rochell Gamalski (née Coles) passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2025 at the age of 60, surrounded by her family. She is now at peace with her Savior.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, David J. Gamalski, and their two adoring dogs, Winchester and Colt. She is remembered as a loving daughter of King P. Coles, Sr. and the late Darlene E. Coles; the beloved sister of Annette (Konrad) Ellenberger and King P. Coles II (Nancy); sister-in law of Greg (Judy) Gamalski, Barbara (Dan) Plautz and Diane (Richard) Kickbush; loving Auntie Dawnie of John (Erica) Ellenberger, Courtney Coles, Christin Coles, Cassandra Coles, King Coles, III (Kristen), Lori (Brian) Brenegan, Lisa (Matt) Walsh, Kristin (Pat) Hartung, Danny (Rachel) Plautz, Cheryl (Bill) Franklin, Jim (Bridget) Plautz, Greg (Amber) Plautz, Sandy Plautz (Tyler Wacholtz), Jessica (Joe) Kuschewski and Ryne Kickbush; great-aunt of Rory and Zach Gloudemans, Grace and Henry Ellenberger, and an additional sixteen great-nephews and great-nieces on her husband’s side. Dawn’s memory is also cherished by many additional family members, close friends and business associates with whom she worked at Mama Mia, GE, and FIS.
Dawn has been taken by the angels and reunited with her loved ones who went before her, including her mother Darlene E. Coles (née Walk), mother-in-law Marcella Gamalski, grandparents Leo and Marion (Bley) Walk, Godfrey and Florence (Chandler) Coles, uncle Albert Walk, aunt Joan Steward (nee Coles), niece Jessica Ellenberger, great-niece Madyson Marshel, and cousins Dean and Dana Walk.
Dawn was an amazing cook and baker. Dawn loved to waterski, sail, pheasant and duck hunt, fish, and play with her dogs. Dawn always made time for family events and celebrations. She especially loved spending time with her husband and dogs, vacationing up north, and spending time on Pewaukee Lake.
A memorial gathering to remember Dawn will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 4:00-6:45 PM, followed by Celebration of Life service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery.
