Daniel Dougherty, age 58, was called home on January 24, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born to Donald and Dolores Dougherty in West Allis on June 3, 1962. Dan was the proprietor of Riviera Lanes in West Allis for 20 years.

He was an avid bowler and won many tournaments and awards throughout his life, including being inducted into the Milwaukee Bowling Hall of Fame.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Roxanne; his sons: Don (Megan) and Dan (Miranda); his grandson-to-be; his sisters: Debbie (Peter) Romoren and Doreen (Mark) Goetsch, his mother-in-law, Mary Schwabe, and other relatives and many friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Louis Schwabe.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 West Beloit Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Daniel, it’s with a heavy heart I type this. We met through Roxanne and of course it was B&B. So much good memories from hosting Packer parties when our children were small to YOU being so excited about finally able to own that same bowling alley we met at. I’m sure you are “Yellin for Helen” (so annoy) and playing that stupid Johnny Cash song “I’m going to Jackson”. You are going to be missed terribly. As a bowler, Daniel will be missed dearly, his enthusiasm for the sport, his friendly manner in dealing with people, will all be missed,, mainly to those that saw him on a weekly bases during their schedule events. Bowling at Riviera was always fun because Dorts made it that way. He put his heart and soul into that place, which is why people keep coming back, year after year. I can still hear his voice on the mic and I can still picture him on the lanes. This is a tough loss. My heartfelt condolences go out to Roxanne, Donny and Danny, and the entire family.
