Carol M. Neumann

Carol was born to parents Henry and Mabel (Etzel) Gross at home in Milwaukee on August 22, 1933. She died peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2024 at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne Neumann, her brother Milton Gross and sisters Mary Ann Bach and Darlene Gryszkiewicz. Beloved mother of Sharleen, Pamela (the late Kenneth Sawatzki), Wayne (the late Jeffrey Nierode) and Russell Neumann. Dear Grandmother of Michael Coloso, Nicholas Sawatzki (Timothy Bertucci) and Shannon Sawatzki. Carol leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She graduated from St. Agnes grade school and Menomonee Falls High school. Carol & Wayne raised their children in Milwaukee, WI. Carol enjoyed card playing, slot machines & various forms of gambling. Primarily a homemaker, she worked at Western States Envelope Co. for a time. Family was the cornerstone of Carol’s life & her happiest moments were times
spent with family & friends. Carol found time for life’s enjoyments including vacations & travel. Around the card table with family, friends and a pile of coins was the place to be!

Being an independent self-reliant woman, she exuded strength and positivity in all she did. Her success in life was based on her convictions and love of family. She will forever be honored and remembered for her unwavering care and devotion of her daughter Sheri.

Carol’s laughter, sense of humor & caring nature will be held close in the hearts of her loving family and those who knew her.

Celebration of Life for both Carol and Sharleen will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Alioto’s Restaurant, 3041 North Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Gathering from 12:00-12:45 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow.
