It is with great sadness that the family of Barry H. Glandt, age 80 of Waukesha, announces his passing on January 8, 2025. He passed peacefully with his family by his side.
Barry was born on December 4, 1944 in Milwaukee and attended Francis Jordan High School. He became an integral member of his family’s business, Glandt-Dahlke Produce alongside his father and brother, for over 40 years. He retired as President and filled his days with hunting, fishing, traveling, trap shooting, bowling, playing sheepshead, and enjoyed time with his family.
Barry’s sense of humor, gift of conversation and loyalty to others defined him.
Barry will be sadly missed by his beloved daughter Shannon (Glandt) Bates, and his soulmate and life partner Debbie Cahill. Also his brother, Chris Glandt (Peggy) and granddaughters, Selah and Lola Bates. He was a proud bonus dad to Lisa (Miller) Petelinsek, and loving mentor to Patrick and Bridget Cahill. He is further survived by nieces and nephews: Brent Bannenberg, Cheryl Kalal, Todd Bielawa, Christopher Glandt, Michael Glandt, and Colleen Holzbauer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George (Ed) and Myrtle Glandt; sisters Nancy (Glandt) Bielawa and Bonnie (Glandt) Bannenberg, brother-in-law James Bielawa and his very dear bonus son Chad Miller.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Visitation from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM with a service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barry’s name can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or St Jude Research Hospital.
