Anita E. Brooks was born June 11, 1957, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She was a beloved daughter to Thomas & Marianne Lupo and sister to Lucy, Tom, Gary, Janet, Diane, and Bob. She was a loving wife and best friend to Mike throughout the 48 years of companionship together. A very proud and fun-loving mother to Christine, Heather, Brian, and Eric. Anita was excited to be a soon-to-be grandmother expecting her first grandbaby in October, whom she planned on spoiling rotten. Anita was life-long friends with Joanne and Linda, they shared many fun times, good laughs, and life experiences together and cared for their families very much. She was also a loving and caring aunt to a multitude of nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
She took joy in many types of arts and crafts including stained glass, drawing, crafting cards and creating beautiful jewelry. Her passion for crafting brought her close to her many friends including everyone at her card classes, which she loved attending. In her earlier years she enjoyed attending cooking and pottery classes with beloved family and friends.
When she finally had some free time, she was always up for an adventure, whether it was taking our yearly camping trips with dear friends Don & Elsa and their amazing family members including kids, grandkids and great-grand kids, or traveling to our beautiful National Parks and Monuments. She always loved spending time with everyone. Anita was always ready to take a day trip on a moment’s notice no matter the destination. In her quiet time, she liked to relax to a good movie with family and friends
Anita was a very hard worker. She worked in construction most of her life, starting for the Laborer’s Union 113 when she was younger, cleaning at night while growing her family and finally going back to the Laborer’s Union once her children were older. She was a good craftsman all around and not afraid to jump right in, Anita had many accomplishments at work. She took great pride in providing for her family in all of the ways.
She will always be missed and forever loved.
