The Legacy of Sharodnick “Andre” Brown
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharodnick “Andre” Brown, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Andre’s life was a gift to all who knew him, and his
memory will be cherished forever.
Andre was born on January 17, 1973 in Jackson, MS, and from an early age he brought warmth, curiosity, and joy into the lives of those around him. He formed lasting connections with family and
friends, always offering kindness, laughter, and a listening ear.
After graduating from Custer High School in 1991, Andre continued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He then went on to become a
part of the Milwaukee Public School District as a paraprofessional, touching lives and mentoring scholars for 20 years. Andre never stopped learning, always seeking knowledge and personal growth throughout his life.
Andre was adventurous and had a deep passion for music, sports (especially The Chicago Cubs), reading, riding his motorcycle, visiting different lake fronts, catching a movie (with or without
anyone), and most of all traveling with his best friend, his mother. He was baptized and went to church weekly. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, generosity, encouragement, and wisdom. Andre had a special way of making people feel valued and loved, and his presence will be greatly missed.
Andre leaves behind his loving parents, Marshall and Mary Brown, his sister Tamekia M. Brown, his nieces Shayla Shambley, Alyssia McKinley, Aniah McKinley, nephew DeShaun McKinley Jr (Dj), and great nephew Zy’aire Freeman whom he adored; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Though Andre is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy of love, learning, laughter, advice, encouragement and connection will never be forgotten.
