Alice Mae Wanta

Called home to the Lord on April 29, 2016, at the age of 95. Devoted mother of Patricia (Frederick) Woods, Nancy (David) Dragolovich, and Wayne (Carol) Wanta. Proud grandmother of Sara (Jason), Daniel (Tyson), Alexis (James), Mary (Robert), and Caitlin (Ryan). Great-grandmother of Miles, Bobby, Madelyn, Clara, and Joseph. Sister of Leona (Chester) Wisinski and Myron (Ellen) Ganski. Preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; her great-grandson, Hudson; several brothers, a sister, and many friends.

Visitation at St. Matthias Catholic Parish, 9306 W. Beloit Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to St. Matthias Church.

Alice's family will remember her as the epitome of a mother and grandmother. She was kind, loving, and unselfish. Her children and grandchildren always came first. She didn't smother with advice, but her favorite was, "Remember, you're number one." She would always greet and leave with lots of hugs and kisses and never criticized. She would only have praises. Each telephone call would end with, "God bless you. I love you." It is difficult to put into words how much love her family has for her.
