August 26, 1944 – April 20, 2025
Ajit K. Tipnis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at 7:15 PM, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old.
Born on August 26, 1944, in Baroda, India, Ajit spent his formative years in Dadar, Mumbai. The youngest of four siblings, he shared a close bond with his brother Atul and sisters Aruna and Meena, who continue to cherish his memory.
While in college, Ajit met the love of his life, Pratima Taskar. They were married on February 18, 1967, beginning a lifelong journey of love, partnership, and unwavering support for one another.
Later that same year, Ajit moved to the United States, where he pursued a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at Michigan State University. Pratima followed a year later. He came to this country with a vision—to create a better life for himself, his wife, and the family they would build together. Through hard work, sacrifice, and determination, he fulfilled that dream.
Ajit was a devoted and loving father to his sons, Neelesh and Parag, both of whom became physicians. He raised them with quiet strength, deep integrity, and a constant example of humility and perseverance.
Though his heart was weakened by a heart attack in his 40s, Ajit never let illness define him. His love for his family remained steady and unconditional, and his presence a source of wisdom and stability. Even as his heart and body grew frail, his spirit remained strong.
Ajit is survived by his beloved wife, Pratima; his son Neelesh and daughter-in-law Sajani; his son Parag and daughter-in-law Rekha (Ramamurthy); and his adored grandchildren Sacheen, Sameer, Sandeep, Vivek, and Vinay. He is also survived by his brother Atul, and sisters Aruna and Meena.
Ajit leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and quiet strength. His life was a testament to the power of family, the pursuit of a better future, and the enduring impact of a kind and humble soul.
He is now at peace, reunited with the divine.
Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
